GM and Aloha Frens,

Austin was really inspiring. I’m going to try to bring the various blockchain and crypto communities in Honolulu and Hawaii at large together so that maybe we can have some sort of impact like that of the blockchain communities of Austin.The whole city was pretty much covered in NFTs and crypto for the entire two weeks. Astounding things happening in pretty much every aspect of this space. I’m in about a dozen DAOs, among them PageDAO, PizzaDAO, SharkDAO, LITdao – in varying levels. My own wacky (but important) NFT project (Bald Jesus Drinking Club & Bald Jesusism) continues – it’s a slow mint but making progress daily.

What I’d really like to see is our community here in Hawai’i to come together like the communities in other cities have. I know of a couple well known projects in Hawai’i and a few lesser known ones – but what we particularly need is a series of meetups and events.This will hopefully lead to a Hawai’i Crypto/NFT Conference where we can meet IRL and form the sort of cohesive community that has formed in Denver, Seattle, LA, NYC, Austin, and Portland. If you are in this space and in Hawai’i – reach out to me. Also, if you know of someone in this space that is in Hawai’i please take a moment to introduce us. There’s nothing I would like better than to be able to hang out, build, connect, and enjoy paradise with my crypto & NFT fam in Hawai’i nei.

So what does that mean for everyone here who isn’t in Hawai’i? It doesn’t change anything – actually – except that you have the opportunity to have even more friends in Hawai’i and when the time comes for us to be a driving force behind the ‘Honolulu Blockchain Festival’ (working title) – that you will have the opportunity to get front row seats and hang out with a much bigger fam here in Paradise. Vagobond’s Recent NFT Acquisitions

I’m not minting anything these days unless it’s either free and gasless or an essential part of a collection I already hold. I feel like pfps and generative 10k collections have come as far as they can and now it’s the established winners in this space that will give us something new. Possibly like what BAYC is doing with $APE or BYO is doing with their universe. I don’t know – but I’m watching for it and looking for opportunities to either take profits or increase my stake in projects that I think might bring about the next wave of innovation.

I know today’s photo isn’t to do with #musicnfts but it’s just a shout out to one of my other favourite projects who holds a lot to my heart: Adam Bomb Squad. One of the first projects, I sadly missed out on but 6 months later I finally joined the squad. They really do show what community is about and to be honest what Bobby and Ben have done with the Hundreds for nineteen years is incredible and mind blowing.

Now, back to my first passion #musicnfts. Last Saturday was the Warpsound / Smiless / Deadfellaz party at the Vulcan night club in Austin at SXSW. Even though I couldn’t be there among other frens, Warpsound for thirty minutes brought the party to Twitch and Discord in a world first crossover of IRL and live experience. We got to control the AI artists at the party. It was both innovative and fresh.

Mike Shinoda is looking to expand his Ziggurats collection to bring it to Ethereum, because there’s some amazing artists he could collab with. Unfortunately, on Tezos there is no cross chain right now. I would love and personally been trying to get him to bring Ziggurats somehow to Eth. I wanna see a Warpsound x Ziggurats collab. Notes for Notes. I discovered this beautiful charity through Warpsound back in December. It’s a non-profit providing free access to musical equipment/tech, recording studios and producers to youth artists nationwide. This is incredible because music has always been a lifeline. When I was a child, there was nothing like this for me to access. I’m passionate for youth to experience something so healing as music is for me, I have mental health issues and music has been so healing for me both in creating it, just listening to it, or even being deep in the #musicnft space.

The First NFT/Metaverse Religion- Bald Jesusism

March Holidays

I hope you were able to enjoy the Sugar Moon (3/17) and World Pi Day (3/14) with your frens and fam. As part of the celebration of Pi Day I was able to give out over a hundred free large pizzas with Pizza Dao in Austin, Texas and for the Sugar Moon, my daughter and I had wonderful Hawaiian Shave Ice.

This is the week of the equinox and so it’s the right time to review your goals and aspirations for the year. Meditate on happiness. Gather with friends. Another thing is to get outside and do a little gardening or weeding – even just digging a little bit, getting some earth under your nails. I don’t have much of a garden space but I was able to water my pineapple plants, do a little weeding, and even grew some sprouts indoors.

The holidays of Bald Jesusism are meant to be fun and healthy for you and your fam. Enjoy them!

I sincerely hope that they resurrect – but when I put them here, it means that I’ve stopped believing and looking. I hope to someday have a section at the top called ‘Resurrections’ for when projects in the Graveyard manage to rise up again. As time goes on, I have no doubt this will be the biggest section of this newsletter and I will let it keep growing so that those who care to look can understand that the majority of projects fail and investors lose money.
