GM and Aloha Frens,

My MacBook Air didn’t have enough space to upgrade the new OS, so I tried deleting things. Ended up deleting the tokens and seed files for my Kukai and Sollet.io wallets. I didn’t have keyword lists for either because of how they were set up nearly a year ago. Unfortunately, this was where I had been collecting my digital art (Kukai) and SOL tokens/projects. I’m a bit heartbroken because the Tezos stuff was all for the love of the art, plus some cool things like Metaverse Magazine #1 and Interpop Comics. I’m afraid there is no recovery. This is totally my own fault – I should have backed up the seed phrases on both of these or set up wallets where I could – but one of the big problems with crypto as it exists right now – there are just too many wallets, too many passwords, too many key phrases, and too many projects to keep track of. These were low priority for me – but they shouldn’t have been. Now, my digital art collection is gone – but strangely still there forever and unrecoverable. I’ve set up a new XTZ wallet and made sure to back up the key phrase this time but honestly, I don’t know if I will even start collecting again. I’d only invested about $1000 in those wallets – but the art and tokens in them had appreciated quite a lot – so I’m making myself feel better calling it a $1000 loss – but frankly, it was a lot more and I don’t even want to look or add it up.

The good news is that I finally managed to upgrade my Mac OS, the bad news is that I didn’t even really need to do it. Apple isn’t what it used to be. We need better technology solutions, my friends. The whole episode prompted me to look at my other wallets from 2017-2018, I was hoping to find some hidden gems but only found Verge, Tron, EOS, Skycoin, MTC, KWATT, POE, Litecoin Cash and a bunch of other coins/tokens that never managed to live up to their hype. Ah well, at some point maybe some of them will do something – but that’s about as likely as finding my Kukai key phrase. On the positive side of things though – it’s a beautiful day and it’s NFT Music Wednesday – so let’s move on to that.

Gm my frens hope you are having an incredible Wednesday. I’m Angel Blue and this week my main feature is 0X Music.It was a pleasure chatting to one half of the project to find out what the project is all about and where it stands in Web 3.

0X Music is a collection of generative audiovisual DJs- which are called 0xDJs. Each 0xDJ can create an infinite number of music pieces in real time. All code is stored on the Ethereum blockchain.

When the Play button is touched, a brand new song is created, and the image comes alive. The song will continue playing until you either hit Play again or the DJ moves to the next track. At this time, all memory of the prior piece is destroyed, and the new song is created.

Forcing you to live in the moment with the art.

This amazes me personally. I have not seen anything like this done in the space and it’s bringing a whole new form to music nfts. And many ask the question what is a music nft. For me it’s anything you can create that changes the dynamics of the music industry and how we have been taught for years.

I asked cryptopianist how he came up with the idea to create something that is just unique to the listener in a new innovative way.

He explained he went to Bonnaroo one year and was forced to experience a lot of the festival without a phone because there was no chargers. Something within the past what decade we have become accustomed to, having our phones put at shows taking pics, calling people,videoing and not appreciating what is there in front of us. Cryptopianist enjoyed the experience without a phone like we used to about 20 years ago which then became the seed of the idea, he wanted to have a mechanism to allow fans to be in the moment with the art and to create art that destroys itself because only when you’re vulnerable with the art – can you absorb it in its fullest. It definitely reminded me of my first show at 11 when talking to cryptopianist. Only phone I had was the Nokia 3310 it was just amazing to sing and dance and be with the music. Hopefully this project resparks what we used to do with shows just to enjoy and be. I did ask about taking the project into the metaverse and cryptopianist explained he was in the discovery stages.

The next thing I asked was did they ever think that music would do as well in 2022, personally I knew something would blow up music nfts.

Cryptopianist explained how music nfts are changing every part of the music creation pipeline from composition to the way its distributed and he’s right. It is no longer on here is a vinyl, or cd. It’s now here’s what you have bought to do what you want to it. A project like 0Xmusic could not have existed on web 2 cryptopianist pointed out and he’s absolutely right. How can you put an infinite number of songs on Spotify. It really is impossible.

I had to ask what was the inspiration behind the Bach airdrop. I like classical well some kinds of classical and I haven’t seen it in this space.

each of the 8 DJ genres they have were inspired by particular moments / artists. So for example, on Bachs birthday, all the NFTS will play to the tune of 0xDJ Bach, every year, until the end of time.Additionally , on these special dates, they also airdrop NFT’s to their holders.That particular one, was created from MIDI stems. MIDI stems from 0xDJ Bach was sent to a classical pianist to perform.

Its truly special. With only 777 djs in existence that force us to truly live in the moment. As cryptopianist says generative art is created by humans for human’s. Which is something truly remarkable and so is 0Xmusic.

0Xmusic is simply a beautiful unique project that shows us what music nfts can be. Something nostalgic from our childhood going to our first shows long before smartphones became a thing and long before sm became a thing. To snapshot that is just wonderful.

Vagobond’s Recent NFT Acquisitions

I’m not minting anything these days unless it’s either free and gasless or an essential part of a collection I already hold. I feel like pfps and generative 10k collections have come as far as they can and now it’s the established winners in this space that will give us something new. Possibly like what BAYC is doing with $APE or BYO is doing with their universe. I don’t know – but I’m watching for it and looking for opportunities to either take profits or increase my stake in projects that I think might bring about the next wave of innovation. At this point, it’s safe to assume that every new project is either a rug or a future failure. There are just too many unknowns and too many scams. Blue chip projects and solid teams are the safest bet – but even something like BAYC has an uncertain future in a space that has only developed over the past year.

The First NFT/Metaverse Religion- Bald Jesusism

April Holidays

There are no formal or regular holidays in Bald Jesusism for the month of April beyond the full moon and this year, fasting for Ramadan along with our Muslim frens. The full details of the fast can be found in the Holy Bjble – but essentially it is this – during daylight hours you don’t eat or drink anything – not even water. At night, you can feast and have a blast. Meditate on happiness. Gather with friends and enjoy the feeling of light deprivation – and then consider those who don’t get to make a choice in the matter!

The Full Moon Holiday this month is very special. Not only is it occurring during the month of Ramadan, but it is also a Pink Moon and the Paschal Full Moon aka the first full moon of Spring! April 16th is the day to celebrate this. Take the day off from drudgery and work, get outside, enjoy life with the people you love! The week following the Pascal Full Moon is a special holiday for our Christian Frens – Easter! Now, don’t get confused between Bald Jesus and the Christian Jesus – not the same dude but just like we love the Ramadan fast in BJism, we also love the idea of renewal, rebirth, and saving the entire world – so make sure you celebrate with some chocolate and a few colorful rabbit eggs!

These are projects that I wanted to believe in that simply seem like they are dead. I bought into many of these instead of the winning projects above. Take that as a warning. I sincerely hope that they resurrect – but when I put them here, it means that I’ve stopped believing and looking. I hope to someday have a section at the top called ‘Resurrections’ for when projects in the Graveyard manage to rise up again. As time goes on, I have no doubt this will be the biggest section of this newsletter and I will let it keep growing so that those who care to look can understand that the majority of projects fail and investors lose money. Newly Buried: These aren’t dead projects but projects I’ve lost hope in exiting profitably. I’m not selling any of these but am tired of watching them fail to deliver. I hope they all resurrect and prove me wrong.
