GM frens.
Bald Jesus #2 (the second BJ ever made on ETH chain) which was a hand-drawn BJ digitized and lazy minted on OpenSea sold last night. The price was .001 ETH – right around $3. It’s crazy to me – but I’m stoked for the buyer. At some point – Bald Jesus is going to get the attention of an influencer or a media story because we are not going to disappear. I’ve got all the original OG Bald Jesus NFTs listed for these kind of giveaway prices – of course, all these prices are going to be cancelled in a couple of days when OS resets and my thought is to set the floor of all the BJs I still have at something like .05 ETH. So, what does that mean? It means you’ve got two days to scoop up OG BJs for little more than the gas price. Currently there are 11 OG BJs sitting at .001 – https://opensea.io/collection/baldjesus
There are also a couple dozen of the OG Bald Jesus Collective BJs sitting at the same price. These are the ones drawn by our @BJ-Artists – and I freely admit, often much better artists than I am. All of this comes to mind especially as I read Adam McBride’s book “NFT Ape” – you’ve probably heard Adam on podcasts or seen him mentioned in the news – he’s the ‘Digital Archaeologist’ who looks for important collections in the NFT world. If it’s not now, Bald Jesus is definitely going to be on his radar in the future – it’s the first NFT religion born on the blockchain, and as someone who was silly enough to go to school and spend time working to become a qualified archaeologist IRL, I can tell you that religious archaeology is a big deal. This is the alpha frens – Don’t sleep on Bald Jesus.

So this weeks Music Nft Beat is bought to you by me,  I’m Angel Blue.

This week has been phenomenal in music nfts first we had Audius announced their first $Audio rewards for the whole eco system so both fans and artists can complete in app actions on Audius and earn $Audio tokens while making the network an even better community. This is incredible for music nfts. Also Disclosure uploaded tracks to Audius this week which is a huge step. Mike Shinoda already has tracks up on Audius too.

Next up, all WVRPS holders were airdropped a first in the music nft space (see thumbnail above or tweet below). This is our fourth artist Glitch and the piece is called Warpsound Encore- Glitch lives. An animated gif, high- res jpg, high fidelity wav, high-bitrate mp4,zip of stem and commercial rights to all music. I must give a shout-out to the incredible Andy Poon who has done all the artwork for Warpsound and this is just incredible. This was a media rich collab with Andy(illustration) , Daveko(animation) and Glitch (ai – composed music). Warpsound keep raising the bar and it’s incredible to watch. Also we had in the discord a fun beta testing of a live show that is usually on twitch but it was bought to discord for WVRPS holders. It was absolutely amazing at one point had 150 votes in 5 seconds. It was a very smooth process and thoroughly fun. Also there was an awesome party with B00nkbots that was innovative and I look  forward to what B00nkbots will do in the space.

 

WVRPD Music Mondays with Rug Radio was awesome – hosted by Jeff Nicholas and Lindsey Byrnes. An amazing spaces this week based on what is music NFTs (recording is included below) with guests such as Latasha, 0X Music, Ed Balloon, Poolside, Tatiana DeMaria, Grand Theft and P3t3Rango. Absolutely inspiring Tatiana pointed out something I’m passionate about which is artists get paid pennies for all the work they put in. Something I’ve seen for many years and why im part of web 3 and Music NFTs so we can change the way the music industry is, for both artists and fans.

I bought way too much yesterday. I love Genetic Chain projects and am a long term believer. Metakays intel was dropped to me by a friend and the concept of designing your own avatar is pretty dope. Travel Toucans is a project I follow in the NFT travel space – I wanted to support them as much as I can. Finally, Lucky Maneki is attempting a comeback with the Battle Maneki game and release of their token $CATNIP – as a long time holder, I’m hoping this project rises from the dead and leaves the graveyard.

These are projects that I wanted to believe in that simply seem like they are dead. I bought into many of these instead of the winning projects above. Take that as a warning. I sincerely hope that they resurrect – but when I put them here, it means that I’ve stopped believing and looking. I hope to someday have a section at the top called ‘Resurrections’ for when projects in the Graveyard manage to rise up again. As time goes on, I have no doubt this will be the biggest section of this newsletter and I will let it keep growing so that those who care to look can understand that the majority of projects fail and investors lose money.
