Aloha and GM
My new photo collection of NFTs “Where My Vanagon Goes” is an homage to my love of VW Vanagons and also one of my favorite NFT photo collections “Where My Vans Go” – it’s also more than that though. It’s a love letter to Oahu, the Hawaiian island I live on. I first came here in 2001 and through the years, I learned the nooks and crannies of this island well enough to become one of the top rated guides. I developed high end luxury tours, hostel tours, and ‘cowboy’ tours – and I’ve introduced hundreds – probably thousands of tourists to the wonders of this place. On Vagobond.com, I’ve written extensively about Oahu, her history, her neighborhoods, her beauties, and her treasures. So, as my new collection grows – I will be sharing all of that and more. To be honest, I’ve got some fun ideas about future utility for this collection – travel is an under-developed category in NFTs.
And that brings me to Thursday Travel NFT – today I’ll delve into some of what exists in the NFT world of travel – and perhaps on future Thursdays – we will go down that rabbit hole even further.

The Graveyard
These are projects that I wanted to believe in that simply seem like they are dead. I bought into many of these instead of the winning projects above. Take that as a warning. I sincerely hope that they resurrect – but when I put them here, it means that I’ve stopped believing and looking. I hope to someday have a section at the top called ‘Resurrections’ for when projects in the Graveyard manage to rise up again. As time goes on, I have no doubt this will be the biggest section of this newsletter and I will let it keep growing so that those who care to look can understand that the majority of projects fail and investors lose money.
