Ever since I first heard it – this song has been bouncing around in my head – 420 is the day I get to share it with you all (again) “High as F#%k” Music Video. It feels like the entire NFT space is largely built on a celebration of weed and weed culture, if NFTs and the colorful monkey pictures don’t make sense to you as financial instruments, just get stoned and then enjoy! Also, the NFT music scene and much more make sense if you are high. I must have been high as fuck when I decided to invest in ‘Wonderland’ and a few other things. Today is promising to be a big day in NFTs – rumor is that the Yuga Labs land drop and the Coinbase NFT marketplace are both set to happen today. Peaceful Groupies are dropping some new stuff and of course Look Labs 420 game is going to do something, or at least talk about doing something.

For those who don’t know – 420 is/was the code for a marijuana arrest/bust with American police. It’s really hard to believe that marijuana has come as far as it has. Marijuana stocks are traded on Wall Street! People who weren’t terrified of getting caught smoking (or buying) weed in the 80s or 90s will never appreciate just how far and just how unbelievable the state of weed today actually is. It’s mind blowing. The world changes friends – and it changes faster than we can ever expect. As you can see from today’s cover – Bald Jesus also appreciates the sacred plant. My name is Angel Blue(Twitter: https://twitter.com/AngelBeArt8) and I’m here with this weeks Music NFT beat.

This weeks main feature is about Beatballs by Alex Sanzo. Alex is someone I’m advising on as a musician because I am sick of seeing musicians treated badly by labels. As artists and creatives we have the power to touch peoples lives with what we do. I do see potential in Alex he’s become a good friend of mine. Creating 100 1/1s of balls moving to the Music. Alex is an established artist with music on Spotify. He was living in LA from the ages of 19 to 26 for music production but left due to the way labels were telling him what to do something artists don’t need. What Alex wanted was to create something organic. That’s how the balls were created before the music. He was inspired by doing 3D visuals for a photographer friend. What he created was a 3D ball that he replicated in the photo.

Most of Beatballs tracks were made in the pandemic, but he’s been working on the project since November 2021.

Hearing music and seeing colours in your mind something beautiful.

The balls were created with camera movement to create such visuals that make a story. He’s not only a musician but a painter and had used some of his paintings along with Beatballs. He started learning about NFTS through OG clubhouse days back in February 2021. And that’s what sparked his interest to take his power back as a musician. He hopes to inspire others to create music within the space, like he once was. And I’m here for it to be honest with my full backing.

Vagobond’s Recent NFT Acquisitions

I’m not minting anything these days unless it’s either free and gasless or an essential part of a collection I already hold. I feel like pfps and generative 10k collections have come as far as they can and now it’s the established winners in this space that will give us something new. Possibly like what BAYC is doing with $APE or BYO is doing with their universe. I don’t know – but I’m watching for it and looking for opportunities to either take profits or increase my stake in projects that I think might bring about the next wave of innovation. At this point, it’s safe to assume that every new project is either a rug or a future failure. There are just too many unknowns and too many scams. Blue chip projects and solid teams are the safest bet – but even something like BAYC has an uncertain future in a space that has only developed over the past year.

I probably shouldn’t have but I’m a sucker for an ‘open’ system and for torajii which are those Japanese gates that separate the spiritual realm from the everyday realm – this is a nice looking NFT and I enjoyed cruising around in the Omniverse – so I bought one of the lowest tier. These are projects that I wanted to believe in that simply seem like they are dead. I bought into many of these instead of the winning projects above. Take that as a warning. I sincerely hope that they resurrect – but when I put them here, it means that I’ve stopped believing and looking. I hope to someday have a section at the top called ‘Resurrections’ for when projects in the Graveyard manage to rise up again. As time goes on, I have no doubt this will be the biggest section of this newsletter and I will let it keep growing so that those who care to look can understand that the majority of projects fail and investors lose money. Pick wisely, my friends, and good luck!

Newly Buried: These aren’t dead projects but projects I’ve lost hope in exiting profitably. I’m not selling any of these but am tired of watching them fail to deliver. I hope they all resurrect and prove me wrong.
