I’m in L.A. but not specifically for NFT-LA – still, I’m hoping to make it to at least one or two events. I’ve RSVP’d for the $LIT event and a luncheon today with Peaceful Groupies. I’d really love to partake in some On Chain Monkeys gatherings at some point but I keep missing them.

Vagobond’s Recent NFT Acquisitions

I’m not minting anything these days unless it’s either free and gasless or an essential part of a collection I already hold. I feel like pfps and generative 10k collections have come as far as they can and now it’s the established winners in this space that will give us something new. Possibly like what BAYC is doing with $APE or BYO is doing with their universe. I don’t know – but I’m watching for it and looking for opportunities to either take profits or increase my stake in projects that I think might bring about the next wave of innovation.

Gm Frens Happy Wednesday

So this week decided to do a little something different. I had the pleasure to chat with Jason Verners from Bitlectro Labs. I wanted to do a feature on some of my favourite Music Nft projects every week if I can. Bitlectro is composed of a 8 person team.Members Kiel and Gabriel were high school friends started the idea after a chat between Jason and Gabe. As we chatted I pointed out that I loved the Mario/Sonic/Zelda vibes and that was the idea. To use a filtered NES cartridge to create the sounds. The generative tone we hear was created by Kiel

What I love and Jason mentioned it is the community is the base of Bitlectro. Which in general with web 3/music NFTs community is always going to be first. Something web 1 &2 did not offer. Bitlectros Dreamloops is a first of its kind mixed chip tune,pixel avatar, music and metaverse project. I first discovered Bitlectro about February time when they organised a party in the metaverse with Warpsound. After the pandemic it was something that was needed. It was absolutely incredible. Yes I got yeeted out of the party only because my iPad wasn’t playing nice lol but I got to join on Twitch and it blew my mind. I did party hard even though I was at home.

I asked Jason about irl events because I would love to see Bitlectro live. Unfortunately NFTLAND got cancelled but Bitlectro are hosting a Pizza Party at NFT LA. It would be great to see more of Bitlectro live because as Jason said the bridge to the metaverse is happening where we look. We chatted about how we are emotionally attached to Warpsound because of the team and the community, as another Music Nft project within the space. The floor never matters as long as you believe in the the team and the community surrounding it. And that’s exactly why I love Bitlectro. Sounds that resonate with childhood memories of playing on my Sega game gear for hours trying to beat my top score in Sonic.

If you go into the discord you will see how incredible the community is. The team fully doxxed with Kiel,Gabe and Jason all coming from within touring and events. Their roadmap is simple but unique such as vinyl and cassette drops of the Dreamers album to Dreamers holders. Bitlectro rings familiarity from my childhood.

I’m so excited as well as this is the week of NFTLA, again I’m sadly missing this one but today is the Warpsound x Diamond Supply Co. NFTLA Party. Can’t wait to report on this next week because it will be another hybrid online/irl interactive experience
